The Block of the Month for March is Kites Flying and is best done by using foundation piecing methods. Embellish it with embroidery kite screens or perhaps some fusible pieces for bows on the kites to accentuate the pattern. Do four kites to make the block or just one huge one.
I have tried to send out a true to size six inch section of the block so that you can print it off and use the pattern to jump right in and sew it up. My computer scanning skills must be a bit off since my graphics printed it out about a half inch too big or is that the way it goes?? Fortunately, it is easily sketched up on graph paper. You just need to remember that a mirror image is needed for half of the block so it will line up properly.
